Brian Claflin's songwriting is spiritual, humanist, satirical, subversive, and alternatively thought-provoking, heartbreaking, or gut-bustingly funny. He has a powerful, soulful voice and presents his music in a wide range of styles, echoing influences such as John Prine and Randy Newman. His co-writing credits include working with Ellie Grace, Nanci Griffith, and Adam Duritz. He has performed at venues from the Bitter End in NYC, to Nashville's Bluebird Cafe, tp the National Storytelling Festival. The last time he performed for us here, he said it was just about the best match of audience to performer that one could ask for.
